Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance , Electricity and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 2.12% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK ), which rose 3.79% or 0.15 points to trade at 4.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL ) added 1.89% or 0.88 points to end at 47.40 and Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL ) was up 1.08% or 1.05 points to 98.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM ), which fell 9.26% or 4.85 points to trade at 47.50 at the close. Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT ) declined 8.32% or 197.00 points to end at 2,172.00 and Bera Holding AS (IS:BERA ) was down 5.86% or 0.95 points to 15.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 500 to 65 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM ) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.26% or 4.85 to 47.50.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 1.65 to $2,541.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.02% or 0.67 to hit $66.42 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.68% or 0.47 to trade at $69.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.06% to 33.99, while EUR/TRY fell 0.18% to 37.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 101.63.
