Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials , Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA ), which rose 3.22% or 14.20 points to trade at 454.70 at the close. Meanwhile, H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb ) added 2.74% or 4.30 points to end at 161.20 and Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb ) was up 2.21% or 0.15 points to 6.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sinch AB (ST:SINCH ), which fell 2.17% or 0.68 points to trade at 30.64 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN ) declined 2.10% or 35.00 points to end at 1,628.00 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA ) was down 1.55% or 0.52 points to 33.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 485 to 279 and 86 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.25% or 2.19 to $69.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.75% or 1.94 to hit $72.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.46% or 37.20 to trade at $2,579.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.18% to 11.41, while USD/SEK fell 0.45% to 10.33.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 101.50.
