Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA ), which rose 2.19% or 10.20 points to trade at 476.50 at the close. Meanwhile, SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb ) added 1.99% or 4.90 points to end at 248.00 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb ) was up 1.89% or 5.00 points to 269.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb ), which fell 2.54% or 0.10 points to trade at 3.93 at the close. Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb ) declined 1.62% or 1.30 points to end at 80.00 and NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb ) was down 1.47% or 0.70 points to 44.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 403 to 352 and 92 ended unchanged.
Shares in Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb ) fell to 5-year lows; falling 1.62% or 1.30 to 80.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.31% or 0.90 to $69.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.22% or 0.89 to hit $73.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 14.10 to trade at $2,665.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 11.60, while USD/SEK rose 0.55% to 11.08.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 107.03.
