Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 2.0% in a weak market

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 6.52 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 3.32 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.77 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 2.67 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 2.0 per cent at 855.45 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 66.91 points at 22268.8, while the BSE Sensex was down 65.69 points at 73602.27.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NHPC, ITC and Infibeam Avenues were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Intellect Design, Somi Conveyor, TCS, Colgate-Palmolive and Phoenix Mills hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sindhu Trade, MPS Infotecnics, Godha Cabcon & Insul, Marshall Machines and Exicom Tele-Systems hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
