Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.26% in a weak market

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 4.25 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.25 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 2.07 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.75 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 1.26 per cent at 923.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 132.16 points at 21923.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 465.14 points at 72199.33.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, Piramal Pharma and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of ABB India, D-Link(India), Kapston Facilities, Piramal Pharma and Dolphin Offshore hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Medico Remedies, Shanti Overseas(Ind, Morarjee Text, Peria Karamalai Tea and SRM Contractors hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
