Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.01% in a weak market
The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.01 per cent down at 825.6.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:29AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.Swan Energy Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 0.8 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 3.12 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.07 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 1.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 1.01 per cent at 825.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 194.41 points at 21861.3, while the BSE Sensex was down 599.37 points at 72149.05.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 5 were trading in the green, while 45 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Steel, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Nagreeka Export, D P Abhushan, Cubex Tubings, Force Motors and Hercules Hoists hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sintex Plastics Tech, Creative Eye, Mukka Proteins, BKM Industries and Melstar Info hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
