Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.85% in a weak market

Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 2.9 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.33 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 2.0 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.85 per cent at 1117.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 219.5 points at 24213.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 727.64 points at 79624.0.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Rail Vikas Nigam, IRFC and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of NDR Auto Components, IZMO, RPP Infra Proj, Rolex Rings and CAMS hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SecUR Credentials, Vraj Iron & Steel, MEP Infrastructure, Praxis Home Retail and Zenith Exports hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
