Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.82% in a weak market

Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 3.69 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent), DLF Ltd.(down 0.63 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.82 per cent at 1021.9 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 47.81 points at 22919.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 121.29 points at 75296.75.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, NHPC and Rail Vikas Nigam were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of JohnsonCtrls Hitachi, Finolex Cables, Bharat Dynamics, Welspun Ent and ICRA hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Revathi Equipment, 8K Miles Soft, Mask Investments, Visagar Polytex and Kritika Wires hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
