Stock market update: Nifty Realty index  falls  0.49% in  a weak  market

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.49 per cent down at 826.1.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:00AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 5.29 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(up 0.58 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 4.08 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(down 3.54 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 3.35 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 2.56 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.89 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.49 per cent at 826.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 23.45 points at 21999.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 62.51 points at 72580.92.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NHPC, Tata Steel and SJVN were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Reliance Infra, Linde India, Somi Conveyor, Cubex Tubings and Rolta India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vaxtex Cotfab, Omkar Speciality, Stampede Cap(DVR), Radaan Media and Lakshmi Precis hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
