Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.29% in an upbeat market

Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 4.11 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 0.9 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(down 0.64 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.29 per cent at 975.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 39.61 points at 22515.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 280.48 points at 74158.63.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, PNB and REC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of The Anup Engg, Ganges Securities, Gokul Agro Resources, Rane(Madras)and Rainbow Childrens hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while MPS Infotecnics, Signpost India, Zee Ent., Ibull Housing Fin(PP)and JNK India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
