Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.13%
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.13 per cent up at 1030.4.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Thursday.Shares of Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 5.93 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(up 4.66 per cent), Sunteck Realty Ltd.(up 3.79 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 3.43 per cent) and Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.13 per cent up at 1030.4.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 369.86 points at 22967.65, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1196.98 points at 75418.04.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 ended in the green, while 6 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, NHPC, YES Bank and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of GRSE, Cochin Shipyard, Elgi Rubber Co, Max Estates and Signet Ind hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Brightcom Group, United Polyfab Gujar, Atal Realtech, GSS Infotech and Megastar Foods hit their fresh 52-week lows.
