Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.78% in an upbeat market

Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.4 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.78 per cent at 945.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 45.55 points at 22193.45, while the BSE Sensex was up 58.19 points at 73001.87.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Jio Financial Servic, Motherson Sumi and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of AAA Technologies, Dynacons Sys, TPL Plastech, Suratwwala Business and Bharti Hexacom hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Keerti Knowledge, Techindia Nirman, Melstar Info, Asian Hotels and Regency Ceramic hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
