Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.61%

On the other hand, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 4.57 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.65 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.61 per cent up at 831.55.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 148.96 points at 22146.65, while the BSE Sensex stood up 335.39 points at 73097.28.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in the green, while 15 closed in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NHPC, Indian Railway Fin and Infibeam Avenues were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Solar Ind., Cigniti Tech, Wealth First Port, Niraj Ispat Ind. and Somi Conveyor hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Prudential Sugar, Vaxtex Cotfab, Stampede Cap(DVR), Ace Integrated Solut and IIFL Finance hit their fresh 52-week lows.
