Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.39% in a weak market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.39 per cent down at 18633.5.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:19AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.07 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Biocon Ltd.(down 4.47 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.97 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.89 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.81 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 1.39 per cent at 18633.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 147.21 points at 21999.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 422.99 points at 72674.29.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indian Railway Fin, NHPC and Infibeam Avenues were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of R K Swamy, Somi Conveyor, Gopal Snacks, Diamond Power and Solar Ind. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Mask Investments, The Western India, Lakshmi Precis, Vaxtex Cotfab and Davangere Sugar hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
