Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.23% in a weak market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.23 per cent down at 18583.5.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:04AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 2.46 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Cipla Ltd.(down 2.72 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.33 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.69 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 1.23 per cent at 18583.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 176.21 points at 21879.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 544.68 points at 72203.74.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 8 were trading in the green, while 42 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Steel, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Nagreeka Export, Cubex Tubings, Somi Conveyor, Hercules Hoists and The Anup Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shyam Telecom, Sintex Plastics Tech, Creative Eye, Sanco Industries and Omkar Speciality hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
