Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 1.04% in a weak market

Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.74 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 2.04 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 2.03 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent) and J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 1.04 per cent at 18654.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 147.55 points at 22154.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 482.66 points at 72983.73.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, BEL and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Kirloskar Elec, IRIS Business Servic, Ajooni Biotech Ltd., Commercial Engg and Century Enka hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Lancor Holdings, Shree Vasu Logistics, Ibull Housing Fin(PP), Best Agrolife and Popular Vehicles hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
