Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.43%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.43 per cent down at 19689.7.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.Shares of Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 6.8 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 1.34 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.71 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.1 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.89 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.43 per cent down at 19689.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 5.65 points at 23264.85, while the BSE Sensex stood down 33.49 points at 76456.59.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 ended in the green, while 21 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IRB Infra Dev., YES Bank, GMR Infra and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Panache Digilife, Essar Shipping, Hind Const Co, Sheetal Cool and HG Infra Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sanginita Chemicals, Neueon Towers, Kronox Lab Sciences, Stampede Cap(DVR)and Kaya hit their fresh 52-week lows.
