Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.36% in an upbeat market

Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 5.4 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.36 per cent at 18903.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 63.05 points at 22551.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 299.19 points at 74184.79.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, RattanIndia Power, YES Bank, GMR Infra and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Bharat Rasayan, J Kumar Infra, E2E Networks, Creative Eye and A2Z Infra Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while N K Industries, Revathi Equipment, Radaan Media, Awfis Space Solution and Indoco Remedies hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
