The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.15 per cent down at 19125.2.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Thursday.Shares of Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 4.24 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.34 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(up 1.33 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.3 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Granules India Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent) and Lupin Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.15 per cent down at 19125.2.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 80.0 points at 22514.65, while the BSE Sensex stood up 350.81 points at 74227.63.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, PNB and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Genesys Intnl, Jubilant Life, Indo Tech Trans, Indo Count Ind and MMP Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Dabur India, Nagreeka Capital, GIR Natureview, Lakshmi Precis and BDR Buildcon hit their fresh 52-week lows.
