Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.12% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.12 per cent down at 18696.0.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:24AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(up 1.37 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.88 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.42 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.16 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent) and Pfizer Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.12 per cent at 18696.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 6.55 points at 22016.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 21.51 points at 72664.94.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, NHPC, Tata Steel and SJVN were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Reliance Infra, Somi Conveyor, Rolta India, Cubex Tubings and Hotel Rugby hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vaxtex Cotfab, Sintex Plastics Tech, Stampede Cap(DVR), Radaan Media and Supreme Engineering hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
