Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.04%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.04 per cent down at 19111.95.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Monday.Shares of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 8.06 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 6.87 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 3.23 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 2.5 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(up 2.33 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 3.14 per cent), Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.1 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(down 1.63 per cent) and Biocon Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.04 per cent down at 19111.95.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 24.65 points at 22932.45, while the BSE Sensex stood down 19.89 points at 75390.5.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 ended in the green, while 30 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IOB, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ujaas Energy, Ashima Ltd, Finolex Cables, JohnsonCtrls Hitachi and M M Forgings hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while IKIO Lighting, Best Agrolife, Sintex Plastics Tech, Revathi Equipment and Morarjee Text hit their fresh 52-week lows.
