Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 1.39%
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.39 per cent up at 20192.6.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a positive note on Thursday.Shares of Lupin Ltd.(up 7.9 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 4.02 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 3.82 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(up 2.84 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.34 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 0.1 per cent) and Sanofi India Ltd.(down 0.05 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.39 per cent up at 20192.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 15.66 points at 24302.15, while the BSE Sensex stood up 62.87 points at 80049.67.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 ended in the green, while 28 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NBCC , HUDCO and Inox Wind Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Mangalam Global Ent, IFB Agro, Country Club, Mazagon Dock Ship and MBL Infra hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Filatex Fashions, Future Supply Chain, IndInfravit Trust, Ahimsa Ind and GIR Natureview hit their fresh 52-week lows.
