Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.83% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.83 per cent up at 19740.1.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 11:15AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.Sanofi India Ltd.(up 8.87 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 4.54 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 2.17 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.03 per cent) and Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 1.68 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.83 per cent at 19740.1 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 40.1 points at 23330.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 31.89 points at 76725.25.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IRB Infra Dev., NHPC and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Zenith Exports, Likhitha Infra, Premier Exp, Rallis India and Jain Irrigation hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Neueon Towers, Bohra Industries, Borosil Scientific, Melstar Info and Compuage Infocom hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
