Stock market update: Nifty IT index flat 0.0% in a weak market

Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) and Coforge Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty IT index was flat 0.0 per cent at 35292.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 99.6 points at 22654.2, while the BSE Sensex was down 379.11 points at 74659.04.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Reliance Power, Bharti Hexacom and Reliance Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Ashiana Housing, Ramco Systems, D P Abhushan, Krystal Integrated and Mindteck India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while MEP Infrastructure, Best Agrolife, Sinclairs Hotel, Regency Ceramic and Keerti Knowledge hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
