Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 1.03% in a weak market
The Nifty IT index was trading 1.03 per cent down at 34110.3.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 11:00AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.were among the top gainers.
LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 2.73 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.81 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 1.03 per cent at 34110.3 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 73.55 points at 22198.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 345.59 points at 73054.19.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ONGC, Jio Financial Servic and Exide Inds. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ujaas Energy, AAA Technologies, Selan Expl Tech, Indo Tech Trans and The Hi-Tech Gears hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while FutureLifestyleFash, Keerti Knowledge, Times Guaranty, SE Power and TV Vision hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
