Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.64% in an upbeat market
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.64 per cent up at 35121.6.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:24AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.MphasiS Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.9 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 1.9 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.27 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.64 per cent at 35121.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 182.65 points at 22509.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 524.58 points at 74175.93.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 were trading in the green, while 6 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Steel, Indian Railway Fin and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Nupur Recyclers, Onelife Capital, Action Const., DLF and Triveni Turbine hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while FutureLifestyleFash, Lakshmi Precis, Penta Gold, Latteys Industries and Compuage Infocom hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
