Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.21% in an upbeat market
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.21 per cent up at 33191.35.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 09:58AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.45 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 0.4 per cent) and Coforge Ltd.(up 0.39 per cent) were among the top gainers.
MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.21 per cent at 33191.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 48.81 points at 22266.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 80.4 points at 73185.01.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, Canara Bank and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kirloskar Pneumatic, Associated Alch, Thermax, Centrum Capital and Avonmore Capital & hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Medico Remedies, GSS Infotech, Butterfly Gandhi, BKM Industries and Crown Lifters hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
