Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.12% in an upbeat market
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.12 per cent up at 34037.4.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:24AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(up 0.56 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.32 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 0.18 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) and Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 0.15 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.12 per cent at 34037.4 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 53.4 points at 22985.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 150.09 points at 75540.59.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Inox Wind Ltd., RattanIndia Power, YES Bank and NALCO were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of SMS Lifesciences Ind, Sumitomo Chemical, Excel Realty N Infra, Arvind Ltd and DOMS Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Priti International, Revathi Equipment, Lakshmi Precis, Ahimsa Ind and Rajratan Global hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
