Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.7% in a weak market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.7 per cent down at 47091.3.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.were among the top gainers.
Punjab National Bank(down 2.59 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent), State Bank of India(down 1.66 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent) and Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.7 per cent at 47091.3 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 190.25 points at 21864.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 688.75 points at 71975.72.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 8 were trading in the green, while 42 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Piramal Pharma, Tata Motors and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of D-Link(India), Kapston Facilities, ABB India, Piramal Pharma and Dolphin Offshore hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Medico Remedies, Morarjee Text, Rajvir Ind, Brightcom Group and Peria Karamalai Tea hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
