Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.43% in a weak market

IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.28 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 1.63 per cent), Bank of Baroda(down 1.62 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(down 1.42 per cent) and Federal Bank Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was down 0.43 per cent at 46376.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 204.75 points at 21850.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 615.55 points at 72132.87.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 7 were trading in the green, while 43 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Steel, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Nagreeka Export, D P Abhushan, Cubex Tubings, Hercules Hoists and The Anup Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sintex Plastics Tech, Creative Eye, Prudential Sugar, Mukka Proteins and BKM Industries hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
