Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.28% in a weak market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.28 per cent down at 52515.5.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:55AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.Federal Bank Ltd.(up 1.1 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.27 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.01 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bank of Baroda(down 2.93 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 2.44 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) and Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.28 per cent at 52515.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 33.2 points at 24290.65, while the BSE Sensex was down 129.06 points at 79867.54.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, Vodafone Idea, Rail Vikas Nigam and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Alphageo , Shreyans Ind, Rail Vikas Nigam, Kaya and Suven Life Sci hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while CMI Ltd, Brightcom Group, Praxis Home Retail, MEP Infrastructure and GIR Natureview hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
