Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.14% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.14 per cent down at 47687.05.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:24AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 0.59 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.46 per cent), State Bank of India(up 0.25 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.18 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent) and Bank of Baroda(down 0.29 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.14 per cent at 47687.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 6.0 points at 22110.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 4.5 points at 72780.63.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zomato, NHPC and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of MRO-TEK Realty, HG Infra Engg, Kapston Facilities, Aarti Pharmalabs and Finolex Inds. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Medico Remedies, Eurotex Ind, Techindia Nirman, BLS E-Services and Shanti Overseas(Ind hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
