Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.07% in a weak market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.07 per cent down at 47511.35.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 11:00AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.75 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.66 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.01 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 1.93 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 1.46 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent) and IDFC First Bank Ltd.(down 0.89 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.07 per cent at 47511.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 9.9 points at 22443.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 1.89 points at 73902.02.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SAIL, NALCO and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of GE Power India, DJ Mediaprint & Logi, Wealth First Port, Nila Spaces L and Indian Metals hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gopal Snacks, 3rd Rock MultiMedia, Regency Ceramic, Mask Investments and GIR Natureview hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
