Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.48% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.48 per cent up at 46911.05.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:29AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.02 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 0.54 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 0.53 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 0.47 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.09 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.48 per cent at 46911.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 49.0 points at 22060.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 156.86 points at 72798.05.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, Tata Steel and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Ausom Enterprise, Jyoti CNC Automation, The Hi-Tech Gears, Uravi T and Wedge and eMudhra hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Medico Remedies, Keerti Knowledge, SCI Land and Assets, M K Proteins and Akshar Spintex hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
