Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.19% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.19 per cent up at 53191.75.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.98 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.24 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 0.25 per cent) and Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.25 per cent) were among the top gainers.
HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent) and Federal Bank Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.19 per cent at 53191.75 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 103.3 points at 24389.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 364.69 points at 80351.49.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, HUDCO, Indian Renewable, NHPC and HFCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of IFB Agro, Country Club, Prime Focus, Sunflag Iron and Skipper Ltd(PP)hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Future Supply Chain, Integra Garment, Paras Petrofils, Ducon Infra and Creative Eye hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
