Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.12% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.12 per cent up at 52406.8.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:15AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.Federal Bank Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent), Bandhan Bank Ltd.(up 0.75 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.41 per cent) and Bank of Baroda(up 0.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.
IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent), State Bank of India(down 0.72 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.08 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.04 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.12 per cent at 52406.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 67.31 points at 24077.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 181.92 points at 79214.65.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, RattanIndia Power, Indian Renewable and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Wockhardt, GRP Ltd, Roto Pumps, Nahar Poly Film and DiGiSPICE Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Ortel Communications, Hilton Metal, Suumaya Lifestyle, Akme Fintrade(India and GIR Natureview hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
