Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.76% in an upbeat market
The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.76 per cent up at 22806.05.
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 11:15AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.35 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 2.04 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.32 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent) and Apollo Tyres Ltd.(down 0.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.76 per cent at 22806.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 94.91 points at 22052.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 238.91 points at 72643.08.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC, IDFC First Bank and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Vijaya Diagnostic, Hindustan Zinc, Commercial Engg, Honeywell and Tara Chand Logistic hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Future Supply Chain, Lakshmi Precis, Popular Vehicles, Keerti Knowledge and Kanani Inds hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
