Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.65% in an upbeat market

Tube Investments of India Ltd.(down 2.2 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(down 1.63 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) and TVS Motor Company Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was up 0.65 per cent at 21282.75 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 242.7 points at 22366.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 817.57 points at 73813.88.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 were trading in the green, while 6 were in the red.

Shares of IDFC First Bank, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NHPC and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Dynacons Sys, Century Texttiles, Onelife Capital, JTEKT India and Wonder Fibromats hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sintex Plastics Tech, Marshall Machines, Sanco Industries, SVP Global and FutureLifestyleFash hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
