Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks mixed as market falls

Aries Agro Ltd.(down 1.56%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 1.54%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(down 0.79%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 0.79%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.64%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 0.49%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.44%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(down 0.34%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 0.26%) and Coromandel International Ltd.(down 0.26%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 183.46 points down at 22704.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 667.55 points at 74502.9.

Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.53%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.57%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.28%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.0%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.96%), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.96%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.9%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.68%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.6%) and ITC Ltd.(up 0.46%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.87%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.62%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.22%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 2.22%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.18%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.01%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.0%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.86%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.63%) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.53%) closed in the red.
