Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities , Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP ), which unchanged 0.51% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP ) added 0.30% or 0.05 points to end at 17.00 and Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT ) was up 0.06% or 0.01 points to 8.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ), which fell 3.48% or 0.55 points to trade at 15.26 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT ) declined 1.88% or 0.09 points to end at 4.43 and Semapa (ELI:SEM ) was down 1.49% or 0.22 points to 14.54.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.57% or 0.42 to $73.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.54% or 0.38 to hit $69.58 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.55 to trade at $2,596.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 100.59.
