Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities , Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA ), which rose 1.11% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA ) added 0.56% or 0.05 points to end at 8.93 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT ) was up 0.45% or 0.02 points to 4.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP ), which fell 1.51% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.97 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ) declined 1.18% or 0.18 points to end at 15.08 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS ) was down 1.10% or 0.04 points to 3.59.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.93% or 1.42 to $75.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.19% or 1.53 to hit $71.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.61% or 15.90 to trade at $2,614.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 100.44.
