Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials , Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS ), which rose 3.58% or 0.17 points to trade at 4.98 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP ) added 1.72% or 0.07 points to end at 4.02 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR ) was up 1.12% or 0.17 points to 15.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP ), which fell 2.41% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.41 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA ) unchanged 0.16% or 0.00 points to end at 2.50 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA ) was down 0.11% or 0.01 points to 8.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.28% or 0.94 to $72.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.54% or 1.09 to hit $69.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 8.85 to trade at $2,655.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.57% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 100.56.
