Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL:NEL ), which rose 7.72% or 0.40 points to trade at 5.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL ) added 4.43% or 5.25 points to end at 123.80 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL:HAUTO ) was up 3.18% or 3.90 points to 126.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK ), which fell 0.35% or 0.35 points to trade at 99.15 at the close. Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI ) declined 0.27% or 0.50 points to end at 185.80 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR ) was down 0.10% or 0.30 points to 297.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 169 to 105 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.59% or 1.74 to $69.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.20% or 1.55 to hit $72.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.55% or 39.30 to trade at $2,581.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.47% to 11.89, while USD/NOK fell 0.68% to 10.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 101.55.
