Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY ), which rose 4.79% or 3.28 points to trade at 71.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM ) added 4.32% or 6.50 points to end at 157.00 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL ) was up 3.35% or 4.15 points to 127.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Borr Drilling Ltd (OL:BORR ), which fell 4.42% or 2.10 points to trade at 45.40 at the close. Nel ASA (OL:NEL ) declined 4.39% or 0.18 points to end at 3.81 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB ) was down 3.37% or 4.30 points to 123.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 164 to 108 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nel ASA (OL:NEL ) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.39% or 0.18 to 3.81.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.15% or 0.11 to $71.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $74.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.10% or 29.50 to trade at $2,705.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 1.55% to 11.70, while USD/NOK fell 2.28% to 10.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 104.19.
