Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology , Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Prosus (AS:PRX ), which rose 2.11% or 0.83 points to trade at 39.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc ) added 1.40% or 2.20 points to end at 159.60 and BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI ) was up 1.34% or 1.35 points to 101.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Exor NV (AS:EXOR ), which fell 3.72% or 3.60 points to trade at 93.05 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA ) declined 1.44% or 0.23 points to end at 15.62 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN ) was down 1.21% or 0.04 points to 3.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 53 to 47 and 10 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.51% or 1.08 to $72.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.33% or 1.00 to hit $76.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 4.40 to trade at $2,750.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 103.41.
