Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials , Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA ), which rose 3.45% or 0.85 points to trade at 25.51 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GMEXICOB ) added 2.44% or 2.58 points to end at 108.47 and Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:GAPB ) was up 1.55% or 5.28 points to 345.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q ), which fell 3.10% or 4.20 points to trade at 131.31 at the close. Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:MEGACPO ) declined 3.07% or 1.29 points to end at 40.75 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES ) was down 2.43% or 7.71 points to 309.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 128 to 90 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.10% or 4.20 to 131.31.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.27% or 7.35 to $2,753.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.90% or 0.64 to hit $72.11 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.71% or 0.53 to trade at $75.61 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.01% to 20.09, while EUR/MXN rose 0.31% to 21.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 103.36.
