Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials , Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES ), which rose 4.23% or 11.86 points to trade at 292.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GMEXICOB ) added 4.18% or 4.52 points to end at 112.68 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO ) was up 3.44% or 0.31 points to 9.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were GCC SAB de CV (BMV:GCC ), which fell 3.39% or 5.37 points to trade at 153.06 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB ) declined 2.44% or 4.23 points to end at 168.83 and Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA ) was down 1.96% or 0.44 points to 22.01.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 158 to 82 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.39% or 10.40 to $2,695.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.20% or 2.23 to hit $67.46 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $70.93 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.20% to 19.65, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.01% to 21.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 100.31.
