Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials , Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO ), which rose 7.01% or 0.50 points to trade at 7.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:GAPB ) added 4.12% or 13.82 points to end at 349.27 and Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:KOFUBL ) was up 4.04% or 6.76 points to 174.29 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:ORBIA ), which fell 2.74% or 0.54 points to trade at 19.15 at the close. Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q ) declined 1.86% or 2.95 points to end at 156.00 and Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:BIMBOA ) was down 1.55% or 1.07 points to 67.87.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 128 to 99 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.48% or 12.60 to $2,596.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.35% or 0.93 to hit $69.95 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.12% or 0.09 to trade at $73.77 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.03% to 19.10, while EUR/MXN rose 0.08% to 21.24.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 100.67.
