Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking , Telecoms and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr ), which rose 5.07% or 0.14 points to trade at 2.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr ) added 1.90% or 0.16 points to end at 8.60 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr ) was up 1.73% or 0.03 points to 1.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr ), which fell 2.78% or 0.10 points to trade at 3.50 at the close. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr ) declined 2.59% or 0.02 points to end at 0.71 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr ) was down 2.46% or 0.05 points to 1.82.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 46 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.86% or 22.69 to $2,668.99 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.42% or 0.29 to hit $69.06 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.32% or 0.23 to trade at $72.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.87% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.96% at 105.94.
