Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Construction , Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr ), which rose 7.05% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr ) added 4.73% or 0.07 points to end at 1.57 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr ) was up 4.07% or 0.07 points to 1.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Premia AE (AT:PREMr ), which fell 2.89% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.21 at the close. Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr ) declined 2.52% or 0.28 points to end at 10.84 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr ) was down 1.36% or 0.04 points to 2.54.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 72 to 44 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.74% or 73.75 to $2,621.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.18% or 2.24 to hit $68.14 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.88% or 2.13 to trade at $71.74 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.70% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 105.50.
